For any organisation to remain competitively agile in a world dominated by change, the skillfulness and spontaneity of the leadership holds the key. At Intellect, we are committed to building a pool of leaders who can act with speed and confidence – setting the stage for our clients to not just survive but thrive in the now, the new and the unknown. The Intellect Oxford Leadership Program (IOLP), is such a stage where the entire senior leadership team gets a chance to go through a leadership development program from one of the highest seats of learning in the world – Oxford. The program, which was held from March 19th to 23rd, saw 35 senior leaders of the organisation representing various functions / businesses and geographies, attend the event. The objective of the program was to ‘Create leaders of tomorrow – Today’. The program put the leaders through a comprehensive learning experience.
Interesting talks and discussions highlighted this three-day event. Arun Jain, Chairman and MD, set the tone by narrating personal examples from his life and gave an account of how the organisation was created, the challenging and happy times, et al. He also stressed upon the need to think outside the box.
Other interesting topics included building a performance culture and how value-centric leadership is critical to success, and ‘customer obsession’. There was one workshop on developing a commercial acumen, which was conducted by consultants from Kaplan. The other workshop was handled by a partner from Aon Hewitt. They discussed at length, the leadership characteristics and the creation of a true leader.
There was also a certification ceremony thereafter. The pilot batch was a tremendous success and all the participants returned knowing that the journey has just begun.
